Welcome to Mockingbird Elementary School! Our teachers and staff work hard to provide students with the best education possible. We currently have 19 regular classroom teachers, 2 resource teachers, a speech- language pathologist, an ELL teacher, a reading support teacher, and 11 teaching assistants who serve our students. The physical education teacher, music teacher, academic resource teacher, school psychologist, and library media specialist provide extended educational opportunities to our students.
Approximately one-third of our students attend school on an optional calendar. Research has shown that many students benefit from shorter, more frequent breaks in the school year. These students begin school in July, have three week breaks after the first and third quarters, and end their school year at the same time as students on the traditional calendar.
